| Goodness, I don't know whose side to take when the religious quarrels begin. On the one hand, I was certainly brought up Lutheran. On the other, Princess Mary has been working hard on my conversion to Catholicism. I just can't seem to feel too attached to one side or the other. What a dilemma! | |

| Dear Anne, follow your heart. As you do love God and worship in the privacy of thine own household, what does it matter how you show your love of Him ? | |

| Do understand that I have my belief in reform and wish for my subjects to understand God's word in church even though they are not blessed like my family with learning and literacy. An ability to read latin should not be a requirement, God's wise words should be available to everyone.
However, my sister Mary is devoutly Catholic and I do not see why she cannot worship in her own way in latin in the privacy of Hatfield so long as father does not find out about it. shhhhhhhh!

| I am particularly proud of our roses this year, dist thou know there is one named after my mother?
Tis wondrously beautiful, abundant and with a sweet fragrance... though it distresses me a little when the gardners do 'dead head' it.

| ah dear Kat, now you see one of my greatest dilemmas in life... what to do with the Queen of Scots.
However, had the stupid interfering men with their love of war and killing in the name of God not got in our way I feel that Marie and I could have ruled our neighbouring kingdoms quite happily together.
Again, you see why my own soul's desire for religous reform is somewhat stifled by my love for my Catholic kinswomen.
Perhaps Marie wudst be happy in a neighbouring Scottish Kingdom rather than mingled uncomfortably among her Tudor kin? I cannot thiink how else to accomodate her. I would offer one of mine own households for her, but we all know how she would scream ungratefully at me if I did.

| I think it would be a waste of the king's money to create a whole realm to occupy one person, ahh.
You see, I could create a forum for her to live in by herself, but it would only be her? I would've suggested her mingling with you in a sub forum but like you said: she wouldn't be best please.

| Perhaps it would be wise to wait for correspondance from my dear cousin herself?
She may well be persuaded by an invitation to join the Catholic household of Aragon where she may also join with my Catholic sister?
...though I dread to think the consequences for our Kingdom's future putting those three ladies together to plot against us in our reforms.

| They would pretty much have every current major power against us! That certainly would be too dangerous! While his Majesty is away he has appointed me Regent and I must act in England's best interests! | |

You were really much wiser then either I or your father regarding religion. Remember it was you who did not want to make windows into mens souls. Good policy!

| I would liketh very much to have my own sub-forum, The House of Stuart, perhaps? I'd fit right under the house of Howard!
And I"m surprised that Elizabeth and I have been this close for this long without killing each other.
And dearest Anna of Cleves, side with the True Faith. This "reformers" are nothing but heretics disguising their lies. Believeth them not!

| Marie,
I could give you a house of Stuart even though you'd be the only person.. Alas, I was thinking of expanding the forum to the wars of the roses also so I could have like: House of York and Lancaster, then the House of Tudor, then a sion for each of Henry VII's children/grandchildren thus a suitable establishment would be there for thy.
Catherine. | |

| Reforms? Why? Is the faith of Henry V, The Victor of Agincourt, not good enough for thee? Is the beauty, ritual and heirarchy of the natural church repugnant to your pesant sensibilities? | |

| How dare ye! I have had an education that could even rival a princess! How dare ye! The reforms are nessacary, the church harbours too many explicit activities. Priests could often be found servicing their whores on altars! They deny the commoners the right to read our holie book but they expect them to follow the churche! | |

| You would defame the Holy Writ by translating it into your bastard language? Dost thou hold nothing sacred!
And Priests are all wonderful, clean, kind men! Thou knoweth nothing!
