Signature Motto Banners

...alas I know not your motto, but wudst be glad to be advised of it.

I am most vexed as to why my sigpic is not showing?

Alas, my good Lady Jane. How did you make the picture show?

Instructions for signature banners

- click the 'profile' button

- select 'signature' from the top right (beaneath the profile button)

- click the little button above the signature box that says 'image'

- add the url of the image after the image codes that was added to the signature box.

- click the 'image' button again to complete the task

- then hit 'save'

You also need to visit the 'preferences' section and make sure you are allowing BBCode, and tell it to add your signature to all messages if you wish it to do that automatically.

(if I've missed anything out, let me know and I'll alter the instruction)

...and if anyone wants a banner making for their character, please let me know. I'm trying to keep up as we go along so that no-one feels left out.

If your character is not a famed courtier or royal personage who was painted at the time, then I'll need help deciding what images to use for your portraits as well as what motto to use.

Elizabeth, I can't see your signature.. The only ones I can see is Jane Seymour's and Sir Nick's.

...I can't see yours either, although it is displaying the *code* for one.

However I can see the banners of Jane, Nick, myself *and* Edward.

I have my prefences set to yes for displaying signature, html and BBCode so that should covere everything.

The most odd thing is that you and I are both using the very same coding to display our signatures and yet you can't see mine and I can't see yours.

I have also noticed from my own account as well as that of Edward and Sir Nicholas that the signature doesn't display the next time you post after uploading it, it just suddenly works at some point of it's own choosing.

...don't you just love modern technology?! Of for the Tudor era and the talents of Nicholas Hilliard to just paint something on an actual object! *sigh*

I have my preferences the same, I can't see my signature either. I only see the code.

...so basically we can ressurect a whole Tudor court covering several generations via the internet, but we can't get the same things to happen when we use the same settings?! LOL!

if we were doing things differently it would be logical and we could work it out.

Oh, phooey. Elizabeth, I tried to follow your instructions, but I believe I appropriated your signature by mistake. I anyone else unable to see the writing on the white "Save", etc. buttons?

You need to copy the URL that has a .jpg extension included. Try uploading it to tinypic, they give you a special code just for message boards.

Well if it worked I'll be damned. But I can't even see some people's signatures on here.

Yup, it worked. I think some people haven't turned on the "always display my signature" option under Preferences. That was my problem.

I might go edit everybody's profile haha.

Mine is most certianly bewitched, after following the above instructions to no avail my signiture magically appeared one day

I am wondering how you get the titles under your names such as Queen Concort etc... I had hoped to provide Sir Nicholas with his new title Marquis of Pembroke
