| Dear ladies, if we are now settled on the decorations of our court, might we adjust the colouring in our inkwells ever so slightly.
I find mine eyes are dazzled by the beauteous decoration of the surroundings and I am finding it hard to focus on my studying of the words.. which is, as you know, most unlike me.
I do fear I may have been studying far too late without the aid of enough candles and dear Kat Ashley is correct in saying that I wudst ruin my eyes doing so. ...I do hate it when other people are right. *sulks*

| Yes Elizabeth, that is something I too have struggled with. I think perhaps a new background is in order as text colour cannot be edited by default. However we could change it post by post perhaps like I did here. | |

| might we not just have the current beautiful tapestry darkened slightly so as to enhance our writing? | |

| Perhaps this version might work better: :)https://2img.net/h/i17.photobucket.com/albums/b96/sentstarr/backgrounds/tudorr11.jpg
And I have saved a copy of the original so don't worry.

| If that doesn't work we could try tinting it another colour that would contrast with the text. | |

| Dear Marie, neither is mine, nor that of my sister Mary.
There, doth that ease thine pain a little that I too am not present?

| well, her grandmother Margaret was a Tudor so she doth indeed have Tudor blood... though might I stress that it came down the female line and therefore puts her way down the line of heirs to the throne! Way behind myself.
With Margaret in mind though, perhaps we might somehow make a section for Henry's sister Margaret's kin so that my cousin can have her own household and not live to destroy me in mine own?

| @YoungBess I am not behind in the succession! Bastards cannot inherit the crown of England and Mary made you illegitimate. Henry did also, and you never reversed either! And Margaret was Henry's eldest surviving sibling and I am descended directly from her! And yes, thaat did ease my pain.
@Queen Anne Boleyn
Henry ... skinny dipping ... *vomits*.

@Queen Anne Boleyn
Henry ... skinny dipping ... *vomits*. I was under the impression that Margaret's line were excluded from the crown, were they not? I wouldn't mind the skinny dipping if Henry was as dashing as Johnathen Rhys Meyers! Sleepily, Queen Kateryn.

| Well ... yes they were *squirms uncomfortably*. By law, but by blood they undeniably had the better claim! And what else is a monarchy but blood? | |

Well said good cousin! Seeing as I have the Tudor blood of both the houses of York and Lancaster along with the more royal blood of the Howards that doth make me rightful Queen over you. ...as doth the law seeing as my good sister wudst choose me as her successor. I wudst choose thee as mine, though I fear you wilt not outlive me. On top of all of that, mine subjects doth love me so one of those modern revolutions is quite out of the question. Thou hast just a smattering of treasonous Catholics and a corrupt Pope behind thee. Best of luck with that! *laughs heartily* Thine Scottish crown is rightful yours. Get thee to the highlands!

| I like him when he doth permit me to be at court and acknowledges mine existance as his true kin.
However, I do find that while exiled at Hatfield I doth dwell on his treatment of my mother and dear step mothers, and at such times wisheth greatly to blow him up! ...well, maybe not him, but I wudst wish to blow up his favourite carriage at least!

| For what he did to his wives (excepting Lady Parr who got away) he should be boiled alive and have his entrails strung on the London Bridge. Hand me that lighter fluid please. | |

| My lady Marie, Did you not hear of the story reguarding my almost arrest? Alas, I was far too smart and knew from previous wives how to work his Majesty! I escaped the fate of Anne Boleyn and the Lady who occupied my position before me! I'm sure all of his wives, well perhaps just Anne and Katherine would like to do the honours! I have no real issue with him, neither does Anne of Cleves. Katherine of Aragon and Jane Seymour would be to pious and claim to still love the wicked fool. Anne Boleyn and Katherine Howard VS Henry VIII. Front row tickets please! | |
