| This has hilariously and spookily appeared in the news today:
http://scotlandonsunday.scotsman.com/spectrum/Jacobite-uprising-To-us-1745.5577604.jp
It a group of people in favour of the restoration of the Stuart monarchy in Scotland, they dress up in period costume, and are led by a 39 year old cosmetic dentist who idolises Nick Rhodes!!!
RAOFLMAO!!!!!!!
...although I am delighted by anyone who admires Mr Rhodes I am utterly disgusted at his misguided allegiance to the House of Stuart!
Boohiss!
I should lure him in with the wonderous new website "Sir Nicholas" and I have created and then convert him to the House of Tudor.

| Oh yes Nick Rhodes is a very real person ... though my Sir Nicholas has taken on quite a life of his own and does not so much resemble the real man except in physical beauty and his abilty to charm the pants of of everyone lol
anway the real Nick Rhodes is the keyboardist for Duran Duran. But also he is a writer, a poet, an artist, a photographer, a music producer, a fashion icon .... oh heck I could go on all day lol

| OOC: Not I, I must admitt I have an intrest in learning more about the house of Stuart, or Marie anyway, that I did not have before. You betray her as such an intresting character, she seems spoiled and wicked but then there is someone else intirely under that, someone who has been abused and betrayed. She also seems very ambitious and manipulative. And I wonder if her flirty nature is because she feels that is what she has to do to attract men or does she do it to get her way, what she wants from them. My history is horrible so I dont know the circumstances around her life yet, other than what has been mentioned here but I would like to learn more about her. | |

| You don't need to type (OOC) This is an out of character forum lol. I am really interested in the Plantaganets at the moment. Powerful women like Margaret Beaufort, Margaret of Anjou, Elizabeth of York and Elizabeth Woodville enthrall me. | |

*raises hand* That wudst most deffinately be me. I find James I of England tolerable, have great respect for his eldest son and utterly delight in Charles II. Other than that I am not taken with them at all.

| Read: The White Queen by Phillipa Gregory, it has a large fantasy element but it is very endearing. Possibly one of the best books I've ever read! | |

| I particularly enjoyed her volume "The Virgin's Lover"... but then I would.
I found I didst tear up briefly towards it's end, and have since wondered upon whether Amy Robsart could truly have been murdered by Robyn Dudley's enemies to prevent him ever having a chance with Elizabeth.

She wasn't wicked. The reason she couldn't survive is because she was too trusting and scrupulous. While Elizabeth (no offense) was willing to lie, stall and dither to get her way (which almost always worked very well) Mary was very staunch in her beliefs and did what she had to do, with absolute honesty. And she felt very betrayed when other people didn't do the same. And your right about the filthy nature, Maryt's greatest ability was to fascinate men which she did VERY well.

I really love the idea of an absolute monarchy and It's fascinating to thinkwhat would have happen if he'd won the civil war.
