Urgent Question

I couldn't be bothered to read every post but this is my conclusion:

Each thread is different, therefore it is possible to be in the court of Elizabeth and Marie Stuart at the same time. Whilst I do not know if I agree with the Marie becoming Queen again or not, It doesn't really matter I suppose as we get the chance to do whatever. However, make sure you do not re-write History to the extent the real History cannot actually happen. (eg Don't kill off James!)

And yes, the tower storyline is still happening ;D

Of course, Elizabeth (Woodville) I won't go too far!

@Elizabeth (Tudor): and Marie was very well educated! It would have taken a Queen of epic proportions to manage the nobles of Scotland, and she was just way to nice. And, Elizabeth was a two-faced bitch, she didn't really love anyone, much less a Catholic Queen of a foreign couyntry.

If Elizabeth "didn't really love anyone" then why would she have kept Robert Dudley's last letter at her bedside til the day she died and a ring that never left her finger that secretly held within it a portrait of her mother?

No-one knew of these items until she was dead. There were no political reasons for keeping them, and if they had been found before her death it would have caused great amusement around the court at her expense.

She had a great capacity to love but feared that anyone seeing she loved would use it as a way to destroy her. Just because someone is strong and puts their duty before their own feelings does not mean that they don't have feelings. They feel love and pain deeply, they just hide it as much as possible because it makes them fragile.

...and no-one has loved their subjects more than Elizabeth. She could have had a very different life at the risk of destroying her people, but she put them first.

I realise that Marie was intelligent and learned, but not in how to govern a country otherwise she'd have done it better.
