...and got VERY pissed off at the "yet the selfish queen had his personal effects sold by public auction to liquidate his debts to her" because it doesn't portray the depth of what happened. When Lettice Knollys remarried so very quickly after Leicester's death Elizabeth enraged had Lettice account for all of Leicester's debts. So basically it was a punishment by Elizabeth that forced lettice to sell all of Robyn's things.

Still horrid though. But what did he expect those two would do after his death, reunite and mourn his loss together? No chance!
