Thomas Seymour's bedchamber

Thomas entered his bedroom and took a seat on a chair, then looked out the window. The weather was sunny, some birds were flying over the lake , twittering.

In the silence of the night, a quiet knocking sound can be heard.

Thomas is sleeping. Suddenly, he hears a quiet knocking. He goes out of his bed, dresses his chemise and opens it.

"Cat...Your Majesty"

He bows deeply and makes her room to enter.

Oh, Thomas..

*She swiftly pulls her up and moves for an embrace*

Thomas gulps and rests his chin against her shoulder wrapping his arms around her waist.

"I've been missing you, Majesty..."

He whispers.

"I am sorry. I went back to Wiltshire trying to forget you. I did many stupid things trying to forget you. In the end, look at me. I am here, searching for your presence. If my presence here harms you, I'll go back to Wiltshire. You are a Queen now and ... you aren't mine anymore."

He looks down sadly.

*Catherine sighs slightly, looking down.*

Thomas.. Henry is..

*She lowers her tone, almost afraid of the answer. Making sure she's silent, she leans in*

Dying.

He's dying Thomas..

and.. I love you.

Thomas closes the door behind them. A sparkle of happiness appears in his eyes. Henry is dying. At the same time, he feels regret for it. His brother in law is dying. He makes his way behind her back and wraps his arms around her belly , planting a soft kiss on her shoulder.

"I am sorry to hear it sweetheart . "

He takes a deep breath.

"I love you too."

Catherine sighs. She's always felt a special, deep, connection with Thomas, but she just can't see any positive outcome. She puts her face in her hands before taking another deep breath.

"Where do we go from here?"

"Where do...we... go from here? What do you mean?"

Thomas asks confused taking her hands in his.

"We've been feeling this way for a long time, Thomas"

She takes his hands in hers and smiles.

"Yes. I never stopped loving you, Catherine."

He says giving her a smile back.

*Catherine hovers over to the bed, sits down, and folds her arms*

So what are we going to do about it, Thomas?

Thomas kneels in front of her, placing his hands on her knees.

"What do you propose, sweetheart? I shall do everything. "

*Catherine fiercely shakes her head*

I don't know Thomas, I don't know!

-Neither do I know.... I know only one thing... that I want to be with you

*Catherine leaps up and spins round, almost frantically*

Then why can we not remain in this moment forever?!

*She pounds his chest, to get his full attention*

I never want to leave, I never want to leave you Thomas!

-Catherine

Thomas says gripping her hand/

-But you left me once. For the King. He had everything he wanted, while I had to go away from you. He sent me abroad because he was jealous of me.

How can you say that to me?

How could I have refused him? After what happened to his other wives! How could I have refused him, he would have had me killed!

Thomas sits on the bed beside her, running his hands through his hair.

-Don't remind me, please.

He says thinking of Jane.

-The Boleyn and the Howard whores deserved to die, Catherine. Henry had six wives, and two of them were the most ridiculous whores.

He mumbles with hatred and feels a tear falling.

-The most painful thing I ever felt was Jane's death.

*Catherine's mood softens, she embraces Thomas*

Jane was such a goode and kind person, she will be in heaven now, and I am certain, she is looking down upon you, and smiling.

But Thomas, you cannot dismiss Boleyn and Howard so easily, Henry is not an.. easy man to live with, at best.

-But, Catherine...we were old enemies with the Howards and the Boleyns and I can't simply draw the line and say that they were the prettiest persons in the world, while they weren't at all. The Boleyn whore hated my sister and accused her of stealing her husband. It was not Jane's fault . The whore wasn't able to give birth to a son . She miscarried twice. Then, that Howard giggling brat. How on Earth is it possible for a Quene to play in the mud with her ladies in waiting? In addition, she slept with that little moron called Culpepper.

- Even so, I wouldn't say any of his wives were entirely to blame. That little Howard girl was but 17 when she came to be married. He was 50! She had no choice, I had no choice.

-Indeed, you had no choice.

Thomas says sighing.

-Being honest, I want him to die.

He adds.

-Because I want you.

*Catherine, enthralled with what Thomas just said, leans in for a passionate kiss, but pulls away just before, worried about the consequences*
