Anne Stanhope's Bedchamber

Thomas knocks at Anna's door and enters her bedroom.

-My little sister in law, welcome back to the Court.

Anne was startled that someone had entered her room without waiting for her to answer, but when she turned to see Thomas a sly smile appeared on her face.

- Thomas! Thank you for the welcome, I'm glad to be back.

She turned back around to continue organizing her dresses.

- And what have you been up to while I've been gone?

-Well I arrived here just a few days ago.

Thomas replies walking through the chamber.

-So, not too much ...

She didn't turn around, but she was well aware of where he stood in her room.

- Not too much you say? I'm sure. Where were you before you were here?

-I was abroad. The King has sent me away from England.

Thomas said .

-I think you come from Wolf Hall, don't you?

- Sent you away from England? What trouble have you gotten yourself into now, Thomas?

She finally turned around, looking at him, an eyebrow raised.

- I do come from Wolf Hall, but it was getting lonely, you know.

-No trouble. The King just wanted me away.

- Oh, well... did you miss me?

She asked, smiling.

Thomas walks in front of her and grins as he hears her question.

- Does that mean yes?

She asked, tilting her head to one side, a smirk on her face.

-What do you think?

Thomas asked looking at her .

- I know you have missed me.

She said simply, taking a step closer to him.

- I just want to hear you say it.

-Why?

Thomas asks grinning.

- Because.

She said, poking a finger to his chest, looking up at him.

- I want to hear the words "I missed you" come from your mouth. I want you hear your words, I want you to show me you missed me.

-I missed you.

Thomas said smiling.

-Are you happy now, my lady?

- No, your words weren't as satisfying as I thought they would be.

She said, turning again to the dresses on her bed.

-But how did you expect them to be then?

Thomas came close to her and took one of her gowns from the floor.

She shrugged, appearing careless. She took the dress from his hand

- I don't know, I just thought it would be more than it was. I don't know why I had such high expectations from you.

Thomas turned her face to him and touched her lower lip with his thumb.

-Because we know each other very well, my little sister in law.

She looked into his eyes fiercely as he thumbed her lip.

- Do we? I could not even tell. It does not seem so at this moment.

She turned her head away again.

Thomas grinned to himself and bended his head, whispering into her ear and placing a strand of her hair behind her ear.

-I missed you, Anne.

She closed her eyes for a moment and took a breath in and out. She turned her head to look at him.

- Are you playing games with me Thomas?

Thomas looked at her.

-No, Anne, I really missed you.

She looked down for a moment.

- Well... that was slightly more satisfying than the first time, I will admit.

She looked back up at him, putting a hand on his chest.

- I still don't believe you though.
