| (OOC: Maybe Christina of Milan? She was a ruler of an Italian Duchy and the heir to the throne of Sweden, Denmark and Norway. And she was pretty!) | |

| Sir Nicholas, I have the title "King Consort" well and prepared so after your formal wedding thou will be bestowed with it.
(OOC: Cannot be bothered to log back on Elizabeth Woodville at the moment, Christina of Milan is a possibility. I was thinking her in the first place but I wish to exercise powers of a monarch!)

| (OOC: True, we could always do my favorite thing and fudge history! She did have an absolute, spotless, perfect, water-holding claim to the throne of Denmark, Norway and Sweden. If she could have persuaded Charles to recognize it, she would have been one of the most powerful sovereigns in Europe. It would also have meant that there were three powerful queens alive at the same time! Think of all the fun we could have!). | |

| *is most huffy about the fact her wistful musings over her boyfriends hath been hijacked by the formal bethrothal of her current favourite with her most vexing rival ....save Robert Dudley and Lettice Knollys of course.*
Oh Lord, what did I do to deserve this ever repeating pattern?!
*stamps foot*
I look forward to hearing of thine formal marriage ceremony afore God and the ensuing chaos of a wedding feast.
*thinks to herself 'If I hear of what comes after I shall surely retch.'*

So, Elizabeth, I think you should keep going. Both of those men are poor and English, absolutely not acceptable.

| I wilt not have thine supposedly long life risked by having you placed upon the throne of Scotland my lord!
A Marquis can disappear, Kings are slightly more difficult to loose track of.

| Let us get back to the business of picking out someone for Elizabeth. Bess - could you see yourself with a nice man from outside England? Essex looks a bit too foppish for my taste. | |

| *pouts* ...but I haven't even mused over the tasty Sir Walter yet! That said, I doth adore my little Frog the Duc D'Anjou. And I canst wile away long hours with his mother discussing how much better an in-law I am than Marie. He ist Catholic but very pro-Protestant, the heir to the throne of France... and marrying him would anger Philip of Spain, Robyn Dudley and Marie of Scotland in equal measure.

| NO! Anjou is occupied unfortunately, MOVING ON!
Perhaps a German Prince or a junior Hapsburg?

| Eric is also handsome, educated, Protestant and slightly insane. There's more to him than a beard! | |

| Anjou is most certainly not occupied madam, he writes me regularly of hist most ardent feelings and I trust the man entirely!
You take that scurrilous lie back this instant!
...I wudst remind you madam that the last to write word against my little frog hadst their hand chopped off. (I was bored of chopping off heads and thought it might make a nice change)
