Anne, while I certainly acknowledge mine good uncle Charles did not do all he could have to help my beloved aunt, I know he saved her and her daughter from far worse fates, simply by his merest presence on the stage. Does Your Grace suggest he should have invaded to maintain my good aunt's marriage? Or to put Mary on the throne? This is further complicated by good Prince Edward's undoubted legitamacy.

After Edward died instead of advising Mary to claim her throne he advised her to go hide out in the country and save her skin. Some help he was!
