I admit I hath become addicted to the rum ast we usually celebrate the return of Raleigh and Drake with it. Tis most delicious, and I hath the only stash of it outside the New World.

*Drunkenly raises fingers to lips*

Everyone thinks they bring me nothing back but vegetables. The court may have it's potatoes and burnt leaves, I wilt have mine rum.

* sighs but slowly begins to laugh *

Now Now dear, time to stop the singing and give Katherine the bottle. * tries to lift bottle of rum from Elizabeths hands *

Whatever, she reminds me very much of my sister Mary sometimes, drunkenness is a character defect aye!

*Elizabeth releases the bottle and folds her knees up before her, wrapping her arms around them and holding on tight.*

My first daddy didn't like me and he chopped mummy's head off.

*sniffle*

My second mummy died and daddy had me declared a bastard so my brother Edward wud be King.

Third mummy got sent to Hever and I was sent to Hatfield just as I started to get to like her.

*sniffle*

Daddy chopped my fourth mummy's head off too like the first one.

*Elizabeth is now rocking a little as she sniffles and sobs*

*my second daddy and my fifth mummy seemed lovely when I went to live with them... but then she held me while he tore my dress to shreds infront of the servants... then after she died nasty Uncle Ned had him killed too. No more mummies and daddies.*

Goodness gracious daughter these are sad fantasies best kept to oneself or shared only with one's confessor!

*Right on cue Sir Nicholas appears as if out of thin air. He pushes back the hood of his heavy cloak to reveal an amused smirk*


My Dear Bess, your Rum-runner is here but me thinks you hath had quite enough.

Sir Nicholas shouldn't you be nursing Marie through her imaginary illness or is she busy playing strip checkers with your brother or groping Henry in a linen closet? Is it my imagination or is Kitty talking to herself now and slurring the words?
